Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User: Tropical Solitary Haven
Introduction
In this project, students were tasked to design a tropical solitary haven in Subang Ria Recreational Park. The space will be utilized by us and a partner or pet for at least 14 days. The major materials used in the construction will be timber, with a maximum build-up floor area of 100 square metres.
Reflection
To be honest, I never really grasped this project fully. I was stuck coming up with design concepts and ideas. It was particularly challenging for me as we had to explore the design intensively but personally it just wasn't what I wanted. So it was a tough compromise for me to eventually end up with the design I had.
