Famous Architect’s building: Application of Architectural and Structural Materials
Introduction
In this project, students are to choose an architect from a given list, or any famous architect first. Then, after choosing an architect of their pleasing, are to pick a particular building project done by them. We are to study the architectural and structural materials used in the construction of the buildings. We are also tasked on studying the ideas, concepts and properties of the building design and construction.
The studies are to be compiled onto two A3 posters for the final submission.
Reflection
I particularly enjoyed this project, it gave me the freedom to explore famous buildings and understand further into the construction and architectural design decisions.
